ILSI North America Earns Platinum Seal of Transparency

ILSI North America has earned a 2019 Platinum Seal of Transparency by adding information to our Nonprofit Profile on GuideStar! Our GuideStar Profile provides information about our goals, strategies, capabilities and vision, highlighting the difference we help to make in the world while telling real stories about the work we do. By adding quantitative information such as the number of public sector scientists that volunteer on our programs, the number of peer-reviewed publications added to the scientific literature, and the number of scientific sessions we support, our profile now features metrics that showcase progress and results we’re making towards our mission.

Check out our GuideStar profile. To see how we incorporate transparency, rigor and integrity in all our work, learn How We Work.

GuideStar is the world’s largest source of information on nonprofit organizations. Foundation Center and GuideStar have joined forces to become a new nonprofit called Candid. Learn more at

Journey Towards Open Science: View our OSF Collection

ILSI North America embraces the scientific community’s movement to greater transparency through open science. To facilitate this movement in our own research, in 2018 ILSI North America became a signatory of the Center for Open Science's Transparency and Openness Promotion (TOP) Guidelines. The TOP Guidelines provide actionable steps for institutions to practice and promote transparent, reproducible, and rigorous research. By becoming a signatory, ILSI North America is supporting the principles expressed in the guidelines through their implementation by its funded researchers. To date, five ILSI North America-supported research projects have been registered on the Open Science Framework (OSF).

In 2019, we have further expanded our commitment to transparency by establishing a Collection page on the Open Science Framework. The ILSI North America Collection aggregates all ILSI North America-supported research projects that are registered on the Open Science Framework in one place. It provides greater visibility of the breadth and rigor of research that has been undertaken by the investigators we support, and allows the scientific community to more easily discover our work.
